New Year's Greetings from
Amelia Boynton Robinson

Amelia's birthday cake

To my entire extended family, Schiller Institute, LYM, LaRouche PAC, BüSo, well wishes. Those of Tuskegee in the State of Alabama thank you for the many cards, gifts, prayers, concern, and well wishes during my birthday celebration, Christmas, and the holidays. Such communications, perhaps some not seen, gives me the will to live and do God's work, and I thank you with all of my heart.

While sitting in my bedroom, watching the setting Sun, with its beautiful colors, gradually fade behind the trees in the twilight of the evening, it gives me sincerity, making me humble and thankful to God Almighty for having kept us through the year 2007. If we do our best every day, when we do unto others as we have them do unto us, we get our reward by being happy. We have been blessed for having lived through another year, and we are now in the twilight of 2008, which we will witness in a few hours from now. Looking back, we can appreciate the LaRouche Youth Movement, which has done a beautiful job. We are counting on them. I think of the Good Book which states: "Young man, I call because you are strong. Old man, I call you because you know the way." Within a few hours, Father Time will loudly ring out the old year, and ring in the brand new year. Church bells will be ringing, fireworks will be decorating the skies, special foods will be waiting to be consumed, little children will be happy, though they know not why, senior citizens shall reflect upon the good old days, and the aches and pains they endured. But the happy-go-lucky, more-or-less younger in age get their kicks in amusement from different kinds of entertainment--like a breath of air, it fades with the break of dawn.

But what about ourselves and the world in which we live? This is the perfect time for each and every one of us to make a new resolution toward making a better world. We are not perfect, and there is always room for improvement. It does almost the unbelievable, it makes us feel better. As kids, we used to make to make resolutions almost every year, mostly the same resolutions, such as "I'm not going to tell any more fibs or lies." Of course, as kids, no doubt, we would break them before the day was over.

There are 12 months, 52 weeks, 366 days that lay before us, in the year 2008 we are entering. What are we going to do with it? It is really up to every one of us, for a happier year, we need to pray more that there be peace on Earth, and to let it begin with me, to respect everybody as we wish to be respected, improve on the past year, practice self-control. Are you angry? Count to ten before you open your mouth. Start the New Year by building. Build your self-esteem, self-reliance, self-confidence, love yourself: Remember, beauty is within, not without. Believe in yourself, let God guide you. Stay close to Him, and follow your conscience. Then let your conscience be your guide. Love does not only make the world go around, but with true agape, try to lift others who seem to be downtrodden. Help them to have faith within themselves, respect them, with the kind of love he or she should have. However, we ought to live above those whom we are trying to help, turning away from smoking, drinking, drug-using, stealing, lying, jealously, hate, insensitivity, and just fearfulness. As the LaRouche Youth Movement, particularly, will be bringing in new people, this is your first love, because you are older, and you are to be a model for others.

The beauty of Schiller Institute, the LaRouche Youth Movement, the BüSo, and other branches of our organization, they are all our brothers and sisters, feeling each other's care. We are proud of the political successes you have had, but we have difficult problems ahead. Knowing how sharp you are, and what ability you have, under the leadership of Lyn and Helga, there will be a change, and you are capable of making it. And may God bless each and every one of you.
